Occasionally we place products on overstock pricing. If we have a gross overstock of a particular item, we often price them to sell. It is not rare for our company to sell them at wholesale cost, sometimes even lower, to rapidly lower our inventory of a product. We do this for two distinct purposes: to liquidate products we have too many of, and to build a loyal customer base.

Well you are right about the second part! You see, we balance out the budget by cutting advertising expenses. Most traffic to this site is generated by some form of advertising, we market all over the web, presenting our products across the net. We never advertise any overstock products. By not spending money advertising the products, we are able to price them much lower, and pass that savings on to our customers.
